How to get to Brussels with cheap tickets ?
You can travel to Brussels in many different ways. The Brussels airport is a hub of the European skies. All european air companies fly to the belgian airport. Eurostar links London and Brussels by high-speed train. And with the Thalys from Paris, you’re in Brussels in 70 minutes.
Virgin set up a specific airline company for the Brussels Airport : it is called Brussels Airlines (SNBA, which refers to the former belgian company SN Brussels Airlines (formerly Sabena).
Virgin Airlines is still one of the cheapest low-cost airline companies on the European continent. But others, such as Ryanair and Vueling are getting more popular as well. Jet Airways choose Brussels as its european hub.
Irish company Ryanair flies in to Brussels South Airport, which is situated near Charleroi at about 40 km south-east of Brussels.
All other major companies such as Lufthansa, Air France and Iberia, have daily flights to Brussels as well.
Once you’ve arrived at Brussels Airport, you can get to the capital by train. The train ("Airport Shuttle") takes about 20 minutes to the centre of Brussels. Taxis are another alternative, but it will cost you about 30 euros, and depending on traffic, it can take longer than the train.
